Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Enjoyed a great meal at Anthony's on a Saturday night. It exceeded our expectations. We had the family style salad and the wings as an appetizer. Both were excellent and the salad was huge. We tried pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was probably one of the best pizzas I have had. Overall, great pizza, service, and cool atmosphere.

I love the pizza here. Wings and other items are a bit average but the Pizza is great. I recommend the "Young Paul & Ron." At least that is what I think the pizza is called.

Went here for the first time with my wife for lunch. We split a small pie and tried out some of their coal fired wings. Wings were nice and had that little chard flavor, which personally I like. But the pizza is solid, nothing special. Worth the visit and I would come back. Just won't go out of my way

The pizza and service were AWESOME! It is the best pizza in Orlando. Everything was fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and go here for pizza !

  • Simone A.

The service was good but the pizza was overloaded and greasy., there must have been two pounds of pepperoni on my pizza. everything was overpriced especially the drinks, $6 for two small bottles with no refills. The meatballs tasted like they were frozen- nothing special about them. The only thing I actually liked was the crust.

The place was realy clean. Service was fast and friendly and courteous. The flavor of our food was outstanding. The price verse quantity was reasonable.

First rate pizza, New York style. Great craft beer on tap and friendly staff. The wait can sometimes be a little longer than in an upscale restaurant, but in a busy bar... Johnny, the manager, is real friendly and helpful. He will make you feel like you are family.

Let's start with the setting. The ambience in this restaurant is absolutely fantastic and is ideal for a casual lunch. Service wise, the service here is better than most restaurants! Although they messed up a drink order, they welcomed our first visit to the establishment with a complimentary order of coal fired wings which proved to be a great starter, and definitely helped full our stomachs a bit. In terms of the food, definitely one of the better coal fired pizzas I've had! Toppings were plenty and my pepperoni mushroom lunch serving pizza did not disappoint!!! I'd highly recommend Anthony's as a perfect spot if you're not sure what to look for in a lunch and are in the area!

Great pizza. They have a lunch special even on weekends which is really affordable. Their menu is limited as far as toppings but the pizza is great.

I tried their wings, pizza, and meatballs for my first visit. It wont be my last. I tend to be underwhelmed with meatballs from most restaurants, but this place has the best MB's I ever had outside of home. They have a perfect texture, and the ricotta that comes with them is a perfect compliment. The wings are crisped to perfection, and come with carmelized onions. I loved them. The pizza was good, too! Nice and thin, fresh ingredients, well done. I really have no complaints about anything. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They did well to introduce me to the restaurant.

This was my first time here. I also have never given five stars. The atmosphere is casual. The dining room is beautifully done. They have all of their beers and explanations of on chalkboards on the walls (not tacky but artful). We were immediately seated and greeted. The waitress asked if it was our first time and took the time to explain the pizza and how it was cooked. The pizza was amazingly delicious. The sauce was a tomato with olive oil and not overpowering but definitely there. The pizza was a hand tossed thin crust with real mushrooms and real cheese. It wasn't greasy at all. The best pizza I have had in orlando/Altamonte Springs and I have been searching for three years. I finally found a good one! I will definitely be back. It was pizza love.

Coming from CT and regulars to several of the most famous authentic pizza establishments in the country (Sally's and The Spot), we searched here in Florida, in vain, for an authentic Italian pie with real tomatoes and a coal-fired, 'burnt' crust. Our search ended when we stumbled upon Anthony's in Altamonte Springs this week. The pie is every bit as good as the New Haven (CT) pizza, the tomatoes are home made and plump, and the crust is superb - like no other crust I've ever had here. It is rich and delicious enough where it can almost be eaten by itself as a main meal. Incidentally, we were given a complementary order of wings, as well, and they were incredible. Topped with some onions, cloves of garlic, rosemary and other spices, you've not tasted wings till you sample these - fresh out of the 900 degree coal oven. A real bonus was the friendliness and ambience of the restaurant; the service from our waiter Justin, was excellent and attentive, there is a roving manager that actually checks on the well being of tables, and the staff seem genuinely proud of the product they're serving - as well they should be. Indeed, this is the finest pizza we've ever had in Florida and the restaurant is a true gem among the many mass-produced, inferior chains sprinkled all around us.

Huge disappointment. Had much better coal-fired pizza experiences elsewhere. Pizza here was way too salty, overly greasy, and not very light/crispy/fluffy. Will not be returning.

  • Maria P.

If someone told me the wings were served covered in onions and served with flat bread I doubt I would have ordered them - but OMG these were the best wings I have every had in a restaurant (my husband makes some pretty awesome wings) but don't tell him I like these better, They were so juicy and delicious. We also got a pizza topped with prosciutto but the tomatoes made the difference. Good crust and just want I want in a pizza. We ordered enough to take home leftovers but I think we may have a fight one who gets to it first. The service was great too. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Ok Anthony's, you are starting to slip a little bit here in your new location. I'm still a huge fan of the coal fired pizza and wings, but the last two times I have come here, the pizza and wings have both been in that coal oven a bit too long (and I like the well done flavor). I would also add that the last time we came here, the service was a bit lackluster. Several times, our waitress would come by another table, seeing that we had empty drink glasses, but wouldn't do any refills until she actually brought us our food. When we had finished eating, it took a long while for us to get our check. This was all on a weeknight, when they were far from busy. All in all, I still love this place, but felt the need to lower the review a notch. I surely hope this is a speedbump, and not a trend.

First time here. Not a big selection of a menu. Salad wasn't very good. Only one selection of dressing. Only appetizer was wings and I don't eat meat. Pizza was very good tho. And the staff was very friendly , they have the table frees wings. I didn't eat them lol but my family said they were good. I won't be returning .

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza just opened this location in Altamonte Springs. It was much needed in this area which has lots of dining options but none that are too desirable. Anthony's was so new to the area (they'd been open 2 days) that they were still training their employees. For it being so new they did a great job. The restaurant itself is decorated with rich colors and lots of photos along the walls. It is a step up from casual- the plates are plastic but feel ceramic. We were greeted promptly and educated on the more than a dozen or so craft beer varieties on tap. They sell flights too! For $10 you can sample 4 cute little glasses of beer. We started with some of their chicken wings- by far the standout of the meal. They are oven roasted, very juicy and topped with amazing caramelized onions and served with focaccia bread. We ate ten ($9.95) but could have easily put down twenty ($17.95). Next came our pizza... When you're a first timer the server warns you that they bake their pizza "well done", meaning the crust will come out a little dark. This is due to their 900 degree coal fired oven. I also noticed pizza is cooked much faster here. We ordered a large Paul & Young Ron ($19.95) which has meatballs, sausage, sweet peppers and ricotta cheese. It was good, especially the meatballs, but I'd probably try something else next time. They have some different types of pizza, Philly cheesesteak, roasted cauliflower, arugula- making Anthony's the type of place you want to spend time exploring the menu. They also have salads, sandwiches and Italian food served family style. It won't be too long before we are back for more.

Great pizza, great service......light taste, not heavy. Well done.

Good food but the prices are more than your average pizza spot. The wings were delicious and the pizza options are better than any other pizza place Ive been to. Also be prepared to spend about $3 dollars on a bottled 20 ounce Coke with no free refills. I will recommend getting a water on the side to keep you from pushing the extra cost. The service is goid and friendly too...I've been with two ppl for Dinner and with a group for lunch. Recommendations: wings, eggplant parmigiana, and meatball pizza.

  • Jenna W.

The pizza here is delicious, the crust is barely charred which is perfect and the sandwiches are great. Wish they had a little bit more options on the menu but for the most part it's a great pizza place with a good selection of beer and nice people.

  • Rich D.

First time here. Great pizza!!! Nice crispy thin crust. The tomato sauce is awesome. They also gave us some coal oven roasted chicken wings with cartelized onions and focaccia bread. They were awesome too. Definitely returning to try other menu items.

We researched a few places online and found that this location would serve the type of pizza both my wife and I would enjoy. We each ordered a 12" pie, as we knew we would probably be taking a lot home with us, the first was their Fresh Mozzarella, Sliced Tomato & Basil it was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. The second was Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, this was also an extremely tasty pie as I'm a big lover of Broccoli Rabe with garlic and the sausage was extremely flavorful. If I had a negative about the place was that the pies after some time would get a soggy center. Both my wife and I were looking at the serving platter which is one of those big pizza boards used to pull pies out of the oven. Its a unique presentation method but because the pie sits on this board it doesn't defuse the steam its generating under the dough which causes it to get soggy. There are reasons most pizza restaurants serve pies on those aluminum trays, its a tried and true method and you can't beat science. The pies could retain their crispiness longer and customers would enjoy them. I took the pies home, put them back on my pizza stone to reheat and they were as good as my first couple of slices in the restaurant. I would definitely be returning to Anthony's in the very near future, I might have to bring in my aluminum serving trays for them to use.

This place sucks compared to the one on Sand Lake. Cheap on toppings if they remember to include them. No wonder it's empty. A bad representation of a great chain. If this is your only option go to Dominos- it's that bad.

  • Tim H.

If you haven't stopped in for a great lunch or dinner, you have no one to blame but yourself! You will be happy when you do. Unique dishes....there is a bit of a twist to traditional items but the taste is unlike the "norm". Wings, ribs and even the pizza is not what you think. It's better! Do yourself a favor. I only wish the city would let them put up a big banner so folks would see it easily. Go!

My wife and I went as a recomendation from a friend and the star ratings looked good?? Not impressed at all Pizza and a Calzone for $32.00 a little expensive not advertised as NY Pizza but it was NY PRICES , definately not worth the price , they brag they use plum tomatoes, all that does is make the sauce lumpy not smooth like all the other pizzas in the world, do you know what you can do with the plum tomatoes. We were offered exttra cheese and yes we got two containers with so little cheese why even offer it.We are up in our years and have eaten lots of pizza this has to be the worst we have ever eaten. I wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy.

My new favorite pizza place opened up right around the corner! Excellent beer selections on tap, most of them offered at no more than $6.50 a glass (a nice TALL glass). Started off with a drink and an appetizer. The wings were astounding. Big, oven roasted drums and flats served beneath a pile of caramelized onions all resting on top of some thick focacia slices. Best part, once you're finished with the chicken, take a stab at some of the leftover onions and lay them out on the focacia bread for another tasty treat. When it came time for our meal we went with the popular Paul and Young Ron pizza as our entree. Very tasty. They let you choose between hot or sweet peppers...present company balked at the heat and opted for the sweet. Next time, I get my way. The sweet peppers along with the meatballs, sausage and dollops of ricotta was a face melter. So good. The pie was quite large, everybody had a slice, one person had seconds and there were still leftovers to bring home. Splitting the check after 2 drinks, the wings and the pizza came out to less than 30 bucks for me. I can't wait to go back, the person next to us ordered a calzone and that sucker was oozing cheese. Meanwhile on our other side we caught a glimpse of their white pizza, equally impressive. All that tasty food as well as an attentive and friendly staff makes ACFP a shoe-in for biweekly excursions.

Wow the cauliflower pizza is outrageous!! Crust is perfect. Super nice they wanted me to try the eggplant and when my pizza was ready they brought me an eggplant to take home on the house!! I was overwhelmed!! Who does that nowadays? I will definitely be back!! Love this pizza place.

  • Karon D.

sadly our *delivery* experience was not so good... I asked for flats and got all wings except for 1. I asked them to be cooked *crispy* and they were not. :( my pizza ... was so wet on the bottom... we had to lay it on toast to eat it. so... not more delivery for us... this is better IN.

Who knew pizzas were meant to be topped by cauliflower? One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. An easy location to find if you are ever in the mood for pizza and you want to cross the street from the Altamonte Mall. A friendly bar environment perfect for getting together with friends for a few beers. Upon arrival, I was quickly greeted and seated after my friends arrived. Our waiter was attentive and energetic. I don't know what was more distracting - the cute waiters or the site of the maestros in front of the coal-fired ovens preparing our delicious pizzas. My friends opted for the meatball pizza and a regular cheese. I'd heard about the meatballs - which you can buy in bulk! - and they were very tasty. I enjoyed a McKenzie's Black Cherry Cider and we were offered samples of other beers as well. Granted, the prices were a bit higher than you might normally pay at a pizza place but you won't soon forget the taste of a truly delicious pie.

Came here for lunch and the service was prompt. Waiter was very friendly and food was served in a reasonable time frame. Would come back for sure. The pizza we had "I can't remember the name" was amazing.

It is no secret that I am an Anthony's fan. Since back in my SoFla days when we had to schlep all the way to Ft Lauderdale or Aventura to enjoy an original Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. Not anymore, for the past several years, we have been enjoying an explosion of new outlets, and they are doing the right way. Every new place is almost exactly identical to the existing ones which gives you comfort and peace of mind as you immediately feel in familiar surroundings and know that your experience this time will be just as good as the last, even though you are in a different city altogether. Altamonte Springs is now our most convenience location, so needless to say, I am already a fan of this place. To be fair, we have only had one experience in this place and while there were some challenges during our order, and the quality of the pie was not up to par with other stores, albeit, very good anyway; the Manager is a very enterprising and engaging gentleman, who diligently interacts with clients and staff alike and ensures a good experience. As I mentioned, our experience did not start out as we would have expected, however, the Manager - Jonathan, by successfully engaging the practice of Management by Walking Around, quickly noticed the issue and took the necessary steps to ensure our full satisfaction. We found this location to be A-OK !! and have no doubt that our star rating will definitely go up as we continue to come here to satisfy our cravings.

I'm knocked out by how good out pizza was. Nice selection of beer, but it's not a hundred tap kind of place. Twelve taps that rotate often and small but impressive bottle selection. There really is an awesome flavor coming from those ovens. Our bartender Jenny is very knowledgable about the menu and the beer. She really made the evening super pleasant. The wife and I will definitely be back and we hope Jenny is there as well.

Too expensive!! I paid 30$ for a small pizza and a salad- I have tried thier famous chicken wings before-- completely dry and insanely SALTY--- never again.

  • Walter M.

There is no excuse for soggy, chewy, flavorless pizza. Therefore, you need to come to Anthony's to change it up and get back to eating pizza they way it is supposed to be. With flavor and a nice char on the crust. I like the nice selection of toppings plus the sausage is crumbled versus sliced. Who the hell slices Italian sausage for pizza?! It ain't right! Beer and wine here as well plus some oven baked sammies. The house salad is really flavorful because the dressing has a nice tang to it. So far I've only had the pizza and cannot vouch for the other hot menu items.

Came here one Saturday around 5 before a Magic game and had a great experience. The place was not busy, our waiter was checking on us the perfect amount, and our waters were always full. We were not adventurous with our selection that night and only got pepperoni, but the pizza was still excellent. You really only need the small for 2 people if you don't want leftovers- I think we still tossed two slices because we couldn't save it. Would recommend to a friend and would love to try some of their more adventurous pizzas. Also, the place is quite large and there was a nice sized bar there too for anyone looking for that.

Have found that regardless of dining in or carry out the service is always slow! Ordered pizza for carry- out last night and was told 20 min. However when we arrived the pizza wasn't even in the oven b/c they werr cleaning them. Had to wait over 30 min. Also, when arrived employee at front didn't even know how to assist with carry out. Not planning on going back anytime soon. Food is just ok...nothing special.

OMG! The absolute BEST pizza in the area! The sauce is absolutely amazing! Oh, and don't miss out on their rosemary grilled chicken wings - they are to die for! If you're in the mood for a beer, they have a huge selection of micro-brews on tap. GREAT place for pizza and a beer before or after a movie at the Altamonte Mall.

  • Enit S.

Customer Service was excellent!! Everything came out in a timely manner and it was great that they let us sample the wings before we made a 10 piece order... Now, about the wings.... I know people rave about them and they say that you don't need sauce accompanied with them but... I would have to disagree. Yes they were crispy, but I found them to be a bit dry and they were just lacking... well, they were lacking sauce which is personally a component that I look forward to when I eat wings and they were too salty for my taste, add to the fact that we also ordered pepperoni pizza and I had gone through about 4 glasses of water within the first twenty minutes, the waitress must have thought I was a camel or something! The pizza was good, nice and crispy crust but it's not something I would go out of my way for mainly because like the wings; it was on the salty side. The prices also seemed a bit on the high end, 14.97 for a 1 topping small pizza and 16.97 for a large. Again, the service was great, but if I had to choose, I still say that Goodfellas is my go to place for NY style pizza.

It's the best pizza on the face of the planet. I eat a lot of pizza but if I have the opportunity I'm going to ACFP. Their sauce is delicious, the crust is unbelievable and they use high quality cheese. My wife and I enjoy a simple mushroom pizza the most. Don't forget the salad - it's delicious!

We had the basic pizza with mushroom and kalamata olives. I have not been able to get it out of my mind all week. I can't wait to go back!

In town visiting from Kansas. Pizza is just flat out awesome. I was born and raised in NY so I know decent pizza. Seriously this was that good. Service was a 9 of 10. No one is perfect but they did good.

Amazing staff!! We came here on the night we got engaged (it was where we had our first date) and they rolled out the red carpet!! Made us a pizza in the shape of a heart and we're SUPER wonderful to us. Jonathan the manager is an amazing person and was so kind and MADE our night !

We come to Orlando once a month for a few days to work. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is so good and so relaxing, it's a pleasure to go there in the evening. I've only been a few times now, but they treat me like a regular. Great pizza....great beer.....great place!

The mood was set when we learned there is no soda on t ap. you buy it by the bottle... At $2.75 a soda. We went with water. What restaurant doesn't have soda? The kind that wants high beer sales. But it's lunch time... The pizza was ok, nothing special. So just be in the know about the soda. Oh and service was lacking. Sat for a long time waiting for refills on water. Nice.

Some of the best combinations for pizza! The Eggplant Marino pizza is out of this world!! Pair it with a Stella and you think you've transported to Sicily! Very cool vibe in the joint. The manager stops by to make sure that all is good! It is evident that he really cares and wants to do his best to make sure that the guests are enjoying their visit. Our server was very attentive and even helped us save a little by ordering only 2 bottles of lemonade, instead of the 3 that we asked for. He brought us 3 cups for the kiddos to share the 2 bottles. **Thoughtful**

Pizza was ok but very overpriced in my opinion. I gave it 3 stars because when ordering soda you get a bottle for $3.00 and your refull would be to get another 3 dollar bottle. We ordered 3 individual lunch pizzas 3 sodas the bill was $ 32 then with tip we paid $ 40 for 3 people to get pizza and soda.

  • Jeff K.

I don't know. I mean, how to you make such a great, flavorful pizza without doing anything illegal in the process? We came in for lunch and ordered a cheesesteak pizza, because it sounded good on the menu. But that's nothing compared to how it actually tasted. The interior is clean and comfortable, and the staff is all very friendly, and that's nice but oh man that pizza is good. I don't know of a single pizza place that could lure me out here from my house in East Orlando, or at least I didn't until now. That cheesesteak pizza. Oh man.

Sadly, I feel like the pictures and reviews deceived me. I was really hopeful about this place, especially being considerably close to home (about 10 mins), but once again me being picky about pizza didn't help. Let me say this, I do not like thin crust, I don't go as far as deep dish or Sicilian, I prefer a medium crust, but there's really no choices for that. The photos here made it seem like the crust wasn't thin, but that wasn't accurate, it was super thin. Worst part was that usually (not always), thin crust gets super chewy as it cools down, so by the time I got home it was already chewy. I ordered the philly cheese steak pizza, and I can say the onions were really good, but the meat was a bit on the salty side. Again, I feel like my problem was with being picky and not necessarily how they made the pizza. I didn't grow up in the US and I feel like every pizza I've tried in Florida just doesn't compare to what I had growing up. I'll keep looking, but sadly I won't be going back here again. On another note, I can say their service was very speedy, and the staff was super nice, even though I was only picking up a to-go order. The place is nice, and has a pretty large bar too.

Broccoli Rabe & Sausage Pizza: Brilliant! Pizza Perfection! Please ship me one now. Six of us (and a baby) had a memorable dinner here on a Thursday night in July. Four of us were staying at the nearby Hilton, and the locals had the fabulous suggestion of this as a great place for vegans and carnivores alike. All of us were starving, so we started with a big salad to share. It was fresh and delicious. Four of us loved loved loved the broccoli rabe & sausage pizza. We each got two slices, and it was just right, although if I lived nearby I would have ordered more for leftovers. The two Vegans enjoyed their Vegan creation that included some killer hot peppers and a whole bunch of arugula. They liked it very much and took a whole bunch home. Even their baby had her first pizza crust, which she liked so much she ditched the rest of her avocado for it. Service was great, and prices were quite reasonable for the quality level. All of us would (and hopefully will) go back.

Delicious pizza and very tentative staff! The lunch portions are perfect for sharing and still delicious. I overheard the table next to us saying how delicious the sangria was. I can't wait to go back and try it.

Pizza was decent, especially by Orlando area standards. Toppings were fresh, sauce had good flavor and texture, and the crust was the right blend of crispy and soft. as a Chicago-area native, I like to think my pizza standards are pretty high. I would get another pizza from Anthony's. The service was less impressive. My pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the bartender spent more time flirting with the married women on the other side of the bar then checking on me. He seemed like the type of guy that chose to be a bartender because he thought it was a cool job to have. Wore a gold watch, but checked his phone for the time... and so on. Of the 4 TV's that I had a view of, 3 were on the same channel. Also no soda fountain, which means you're paying $3 for a bottle of Coke and no refils. Bottom line: I would return if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for this particular product.

Been back a few times and i have to say, this is our new Saturday addiction. Have yet to be disappointed. Had the wings as an appetizer tonight and home run....cooked in the coal fired oven served with carmelized onions not your usual wings. Wasn't sure what type of beer to try tonight so the waiter said well ill bring som samples and then decide!!!...sweet!!...my wife wanted to try the broccoli rabe pizza but wanted a sample before committing and the manager promptly obliged. ..needless to say we loved it.....you are denying yourself a great pizza and food in general if you don't give them a try.... menu is simple and just right in my opinion. ...

Anthony's would be considered a upscale pizza joint by most people standards, so I am going to skip over how pricey a large pie can be. We were hoping there might be a yelp hook up though when we pulled in. The place itself is excellent for eat in. The character of the place is half pizza joint half pub. If you like a good beer they have some of the best Florida micro brew around. The service was quite good Now the pie. I can only refer to the pie we had, and we have had the "Paul and Young Ron" pizza before so we one it was incredible. Be careful. If you can't handle very hot, avoid it. It's damn hot. Full green pepper slices long ways are laid at least one per slice. But along with the meatballs that are all along the pizza it is an incredible pie Get one if you can

I am from the north so coming by good pizza down here is pretty rare. This place is definitely northerner-approved. My boyfriend and I stopped in here a few nights ago to grab some dinner. We ordered a large meatballs and ricotta pie - it was AMAZING. The meatballs are done perfectly and there is just enough sauce and ricotta on the pie. We were seated immediately and our waiter was very tentative to us. We will be back!

GET THE WINGS. I know its called Anthony's Coal Fired PIZZA, but PLEASE GET THE WINGS. They were deliciously crispy, had fresh herbs on them, and were covered in sautéed onions. I'm so very glad we got those instead of ordering a salad to go with our pizza! Now. The pizza. I went with a friend from New York, who was obviously very biased on what good pizza is. AND HE LOVED IT. We ordered a small meatball and ricotta pizza and it was great. The ricotta could've been a little creamier, but that's really about the only negative thing I can say. The crust was perfectly done. Somehow we didn't finish the wings and pizza, so I let my friend take the leftovers (how nice am I??) home. The meal was a little pricey. The pizza alone was $20, and the wings were $10. Add in 2 beers (great selection here, I was able to try a Funky Buddha red ale I'd never had before) each and the check was $56. It was worth the splurge though!

So glad that we gave this place a visit! I have been to Anthony's in Miami, so wanted to try it here since we recently moved to Altamonte, and I am so happy we did! Not only was the food delicious , as usual, but the manager Johnny and our server Gabe were amazing! Johnny really knows how to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. He allowed us to try some of the craft beers on draft which were all great. The black Cherry is now our favorite. If you're in the mood for some flavorful, crispy pizza with a tasty tomato sauce and great service you need to visit Anthony's . We will be back!!!!!!

Very limited menu selection. Service was quick. The food was okay not great. How do you burn pizza if that is what you specialize in. The pizza is pricey also

If I'm the duke (or at least WAS), shouldn't I at least write a review? (Rhetorical question). Here are a few things you need to know about Anthony's. First and foremost, I LOVE their chicken wings. They are expertly herbed and seasoned, and not at all greasy after that trial-by-fire in that 10-gazillion-degree coal-fired oven. Served with onions and focaccia, they are SO good! How good? One time, coming home from the airport late at night, I was literally dreaming about those wings. They weren't that far out of the way either. If I was sure they'd still be open, I would surely have made a small detour. Their pizza is very good too, but it's not like your usual North American pizza variety - less cheese, less sauce, and crispy to the point bordering on burnt. Ingredients have always been fresh, with choices ranging from the veggie-type to meat-lovers. But like I said, set aside any thought that this isn't like your "usual" pizza and you'll enjoy it for what it is. They have a great selection of micros, with special pricing on Mondays and Tuesdays (otherwise, they are not inexpensive). The waiter will gladly bring you a taste, and you can do a flight too, to sample several. Is it Monday yet?

Brand new! Wandered in for impromptu dinner with a friend in town for business. We both had calzones. They were great. Very fresh. The waitress was awesome and brought a sweet red to try along with the white zif I ordered. Will definitely be back!

Our favorite pizza place! The coal oven gets that "well done" crispy crust that we love. We recently got the wings for the first time, my only regret is that we hadn't gotten them sooner! They aren't buffalo style, but man are they good. Smoky, crispy, savory, YUM!! Meatballs are big and really good as well. Half price beers on Monday and Tuesday are great, they are all craft beers too. The service is fantastic and always so great and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Why would you go to any other place for coal fired pizza? Anthony's on it's worst day is always better than all of those other wanna-be coal fired pizza joints. I have been to this particular location four times as of this review. I cannot say just how much of a fan I am when it comes to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. I crave the meat balls with ricotta. I crave the chicken wings with the carmelized onions. I crave both the pepperoni pizza and the cauliflower pizza. My issue is that I am used to going to the flagship in Fort Lauderdale; the location where the head chef works and the quality is always impeccable. As has been noted by Carla L. and Gustavo L., the consistency of this location is a bit off par. I realize there are going to be regional variations and differences based upon what sells best with the locals, but the consistency I speak of has to do with the quality of the food. When it comes to the pizzas, the uniformity of toppings, cheese and sauce has always been unbalanced. On my most recent trip, half the pizza had no sauce while the other half was swimming in sauce. There are other examples I could post, but I think that one suffices. I know I am giving them a five-star while complaining about them, but that is because it still tasted really good. When the stores are hitting on all cylinders they are exemplary. Did I mention that I crave their food? My biggest complaint is that none of the franchise are allowed to split the cauliflower pizza. At the Ft Lauderdale location, I would get half pepperoni and half cauliflower, but apparently the head chef thinks others will mess up his grandma's recipe if they do the split...for some reason, I believe his feelings may have merit.

Great food and tons of fun. It's great for a gals lunch. The salad was good. The pizza was better. The sauce is a little sour. If you just want a glass of wine with the girls and to gab, this is perfect.

Bring on the char - I love anything baked in a coal fire oven and this pizza was no exception. Such a cool concept with the mix of fresh pizzas and curated list of craft beers, all with a great view from the open doors and friendly service. The menu is on the shorter side, but that's because this spot doesn't stray from their specialties: fresh salads topped with slices of tomatoes and other veggies, foccacia bread with a slight char paired with crushed tomato sauce and classic pizza topping combos right next to more fun choices like the broccoli rabe pizza. We went classic and ordered the pepperoni, it was everything we were craving - crispy crust, nice blend of cheeses and not greasy. The prices are a bit steep for pizza ($12.99 for a small) but worth it for the fresh flavors. Great spot for a date or weekend lunch.

Three stars is A-OK! ***NOTE THIS REVIEW WILL CHANGE ON OUR NEXT VISIT! Being HUGE Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza fans since we lived in Miami and had to drive up to Ft. Lauderdale to get our fix, we had been going to the one here in Orlando in the Dr. Phillips area. Then we discovered this one so much closer to home! Needless to say that the excitement was too much for us to handle. Well, ok. We could handle the excitement, but just barely. It was a sunday afternoon at around 3PM and we were quite surprised to see quite a few patrons. By no means was it busy, busy, but it wasn't empty to our surprise. We ordered our usual, large salad w/o onions. Small pizza with onions and olives. Excellent. We happily waited for our salad. And waited.... and waited... our very nice server seemed to be a tad overwhelmed and we didn't get our water or beer for A WHILE. The people in the table next to us who got seated ten minutes got their pizza and we were still waiting for our salad. Our pizza came. No salad. We didn't want to start the pizza without the delicious salad so we flagged down the (very nice) manager and he got our salad. The time we were sitting there staring at our pizza we noticed that it had been prepared as if whomever was in the kitchen was in a huge rush. 1/3 of the pizza had no sauce and only pieces of cheese that happened to find there way on that side. This was not the consistent preparation I had experienced in all the other ones throughout Miami and Dr. Phillips that I was used to. Now having said this, the manager was amazing and quick to fix the issues that came up. So, we are definitely coming back because I trust that this was an off day and as soon as I do, I will definitely change this review accordingly.

This review will be long, but helpful when you are trying to decide where to go to eat.........Let me start by saying this was our first visit to Anthony's. I was accompanied by some of the worse critics (a bunch of Italians & a chef). My husband & I and my parents live in Cocoa Beach. My brother & sister and their families live within 10 miles of Anthony's in Altamonte. We were trying to decide where to go to eat so I pulled up Yelp. If you are an avid Yelp user sometimes it is hit or miss. There were 11 of us total & when we got there around 4-4:30 there were only 2 other tables. The decor was cozy & inviting. We all ordered pizzas so we had 5 pizzas total, meatballs & a caprese salad. When the manager Johnny brought out the salad he also brought out a pile of chicken wings & said he noticed that we didn't order any and he really wanted us to try them. They were some of the best wings I have ever had without sauce. If you accustomed to wings that are drowned in a sauce they do not do that here. They come out of the wood fire grille with a pile of grilled onions on top, tender & delicious. What really surprised & impressed us was how many manager do you know that pay that much attention to the customers & have that much confidence in their food to bring out wings in the hope that you will come back and order them...WE MOST DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK & will order them again... The pizzas were all amazing. The flavor of the crust the toppings, the sauce all of it. OMG!! I have not had a pizza that good since we went to NY. the pizza like almost everything else is cooked in the wood fire grille so the pizza took about 4 minutes to cook & were cook enough to not have a soggy pizza, but not overcooked either. The meatballs were so good I could have eaten 12 of them, but 2 would fill you up they were so big. They also put a side of ricotta cheese to accompany the meatballs. (Sorry mom don't disown me but they were better than yours) OH BY THE WAY I mentioned that there were only 2 other tables when we got there in about half an hour the place was packed. They get there ricotta & a lot of their ingredients from NY. The have also have the tomatoes grow specially for them. Even the caprese salad was outstanding the tomatoes were big plump slices with the best mozzarella around (from NY). We didn't have salad but tried their house Italian to dunk the crust in it was again one of the best around.. My brother is the Executive Chef for Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. The rest of us grew up with some of the best Italian food. My Nana used to put pork ribs in the sauce on Sundays (God rest her soul) so Johnny said we should try Anthony s pork ribs & brought us an order. Ok so I think if my brother & sister could have they would have licked the dish clean, YES they were that good. These ribs were spicy flavorful & falling off the bone GOOD!!! The staff was friendly & attentive. Jennifer was our main waitress and she did a great job, but all of the staff worked as a team so we were also impressed with Caley & Ann (servers). If you twisted my arm & made me give you one negative thing about this place I would have to say that they do not have fountain soda. The offer bottled soda so there are no refills. The tea is Peak tea but also in bottles. Their reason was it is cleaner then having the fountain drinks. I do not agree I would rather have fountain soda (PEPSI of course). Millions of restaurants have fountain & I don't think anyone has died.. so I would probably urge them to invest in a fountain soda option. I would also have to say they are to far away and we need one in Brevard county, Melbourne & Titusville are highly populated and close to me...LOL Since I am talking about drinks they even filter their water. I lived in IDAHO for the last 13 years & had forgot how disgusting the water tastes in FL. Every time we go to a restaurant I don't drink anything because the water is terrible and the soda & tea are made from the same water. I was shocked & pleased that I could drink their water. They also have a beer called Fuhgeddaboudit (pronounced: for-getta-bout-it) which is brew in Ft. Lauderdale just for them. The guys loved it. I mentioned I lived in Cocoa Beach and very picky about food. It would take us about an hour to get there from our house. It was sooooooo good we will drive all that way on a weekend to go back at least once a month. I never write review this long, but I couldn't help it. Please try this place out. you will love it. If there is anything you try that isn't incredible I would recommend you speak to Johnny the manager & let him make it right for you. If you leave this place disappointed about anything and did not let them know it is your own fault.

I'm not a pizza die-hard fan, but when I do crave it randomly Anthony's is my spot for sure! So glad that Altamonte has this awesome joint and it's a great spot to chill, watch the game, and enjoy some good food. If the weather is good, I love when the doors/windows are open. It gives off a great ambiance and this relax feel to it. It's not a huge place, but not a small place either. It's a good space and it can get pretty busy. Now let's get down to the nitty gritty, the food! WINGS. The freakin' wings here are AWESOME! I'm a number 1 fan of wings, and trust me, I would recommend these!! The seasoning, herbs, and bits of char and perfectly roasted wings are just man oh man good! Topped with onions and focaccia bread. Perfect meal right there itself. Bet you can't just have 5! ;) Now pizza here is filling for sure! But they're the thin kind, my kind of pizza! Portions can either look like their perfect size, or too much. But trust me you'll definitely get your money's worth and taste bud's satisfaction for sure! My favorite pizza's are the Eggplant, trust if you're an eggplant fan GET THIS! It's light, and you honestly wouldn't be even to tell if they're was eggplant since it's cut pretty thin and topped with their tomato sauce. Delicious! Another goodie is the Cauliflower pizza. Wow, cauliflower on a whole new level! For a vegetable that doesn't get much recognition, this pizza definitely did it right! It's comes out as a flatbread, but this pizza itself is super filling. One slice is good enough for me. Veggies lovers you'll definitely enjoy this one for sure! Pretty good service, food comes out fairly fast, servings are huge, and I've always had a good experience here. Great place for sure!!

Yummy, crunchy! So good if you like thin pizza that is well done. Staff is friendly and a good selection of beer. $25 for a large pizza is a lot, but it's delicious! Great atmosphere and great menu.

Hands down the tastiest pizza on this side of town. Although parking here can be a bit tough on weekend nights, the service is alway quick. Coal fired pizza is excellent in flavor and adds a special texture to the crust. Their eggplant pizza is a healthier and tasty alternative, to your typical toppings. Their coal fired wings are also delectable, and the toasted focaccia complements the wings nicely. One evening I tried the cheesecake, which was OK, nothing fancy or spectacular. They always have decent drink specials as well which is always a plus!

What's that you just said? Roasted Cauliflower pizza? You heard me right but I'll say it again even louder ROASTED CAULIFLOWER PIZZA! Yes the chicken wings and ribs are very tasty. Sure the other more traditional pizzas are great too. Everything is cooked in a smoking hot coal fired oven and they use high quality ingredients so they should be good, But the absolutely, blow your mind wide open, I crave this like none other in town pizza is their roasted cauliflower. Sweetly caramelized and surprisingly meaty (in a vegetarian kind of way) florets of cauliflower that have been roasted with garlic and olive oil and are nestled in together with melted romano and mozzarello cheeses. It is topped with flavorful breadcrumbs and there's a little heat from red pepper flakes. All this is found on a perfect crust that's blistered and bubbled and yes even blackened from the coal fired oven the way pizza is supposed to be. Oh it's simply heavenly. I've had some great pizzas cooked in a deck oven but wood and coal fired pizzas have my heart and this cauliflower pizza at Anthony's is the stuff of dreams.

The combination of pizza and beer is always a score in my book but this place really didn't do it for me. The space is really small so the tiny table my boyfriend and I got was crammed into a walking space by the kitchen and could barely hold the serving trays and plates we were given. Our waiter was very nice but the prices and service seemed to be trying to be more elegant than pizza in a strip mall. Definitely get the wings if you come - they are crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside and the best I've ever had. The cauliflower pizza on the other hand was lack luster and tasted like coal. I enjoy the taste of coal fired pizza but this was over cooked. I'll be coming back, but only for wings and only for take out.

  • Rachel S.

Although they're a little pricey we love coming here for lunch and dinner! We can eat chicken wings and pizza and don't feel guilty after. The food is delicious, not greasy, and uses fresh ingredients. Even the salads are awesome. I've never craved a salad in my life, but I can go to Anthony's and make it my whole meal. The meatballs are also really good, especially on a pizza! The atmosphere is also great - good music, nice servers, fun artwork on the walls. We visit here probably a little too often.

  • Riley B.

Anthony's coal fired is fantastic - I am already a huge fan of the coal fired style (and you should be as well) and Anthony's rendition is spot on. The menu is simple enough - oven baked wings and pizzas. Anthony's also features an awesome selection of crafts, which can be difficult to find in the Altamonte/Apopka area. If I lived in the area I would probably be there for dinner and beer every night.

The pizza was great! I was a little shocked that they only had beer and wine. The customer service was awesome. I would recommend this to all my pizza lovers.

  • Heather F.

I agree with Jason W. Though the ambience of this particular pizza joint is way better than others, it doesn't justify the cost of the pizza. I've been here about 3-4 times and the service used to be better than it has been as of lately. My first visit was right when they opened. The most recent visit I couldn't even get refills on my water and the server only came by a total of about 3 times. This was also a weeknight when they were slow, like another reviewer mentioned. This pizza is good, but I'd rather go slightly out of my way for better pizza at more reasonable prices.

What a fantastic place!!! My wife and I enjoyed the broccoli rabe pizza!!!! First of all, their coal oven makes the pizza taste amazing!! Born and raised in NYC and I loved every last bite. I totally over ate last night. Rachel, our server was excellent. The staff came by and paid us great attention. By the way, their coal oven wings are to die for!!!! Best pizza We have EVER had!!! Thanks Anthony's, great first time experience!!!

Great service and pizza! Had some tasty wings on the house with sautéed onions that are match made in heaven with foccacia bread it comes with. Have to come back to try cauliflower pizza! Too bad they don't do half & half for that one...

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing vibe!!! A must try!!! Our server was Jessica...def ask for her if you want to be taken well care of. I didn't catch the managers name (young Hispanic male with a beard), but upon hearing it was our first visit, he provided us with a complimentary piece of one of the best cheesecakes I have had in a really long time. I can't say everyone will get a piece of cheesecake, but you will get a great meal none the less! Thank you for an amazing experience!!!

Excellent authentic New York style pizza. I haven't eaten at the Altamonte Springs location but I have eaten at the Turkey Lake location. The pizza crust has a nice crispy texture with a slight char which is what a coal fired pizza is all about. Sauce has a nice balance it wasn't over powering and the toppings were fresh. In my opinion if you want a true New York pizza experience go to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza.

this is the best pizza in town. 1100 degree coal oven cooks pizzas RIGHT. They use quality sauces/cheeses/toppings/etc. Their beer selection is very impressive. While not huge, they are all craft/specialty beers. Their wings are phenomenal. Some people complain about the price, but considering this is quality, top notch pizza, the price is extremely reasonable. I used to eat at Anthony's in pembroke pines when I was down there for work, as well as the one on sand lake by my old office. When I found out there is one nearby in altamonte i almost lost it! My wife and I go here as often as possible. If you haven't tried it, go! If you don't like it, I'll give you my address and you can bring me your leftovers!

I love Anthony's!!! Best pizza I've ever had. I lived in Miami and loved getting Anthony's. Paul and young Ron is the way to go. Wings are also amazing. This is a different style of pizza but it is amazing.

Salad and Pizza were fantastic. Service was outstanding. Only drawback was.their draught beer system.was down so no craft beer to go with the craft pie!!!

  • Ed S.

This is not really my type of pizza. I loved the thin crust, but of the four different types of pizza we tried, they had hardly any sauce, and very little cheese...and that's a no-no with me. The ingredients were fresh, the pizza was hot and the service was fine. I just didn't really care for the taste of the pizza ... I have had better that cost a lot less. For four people the bill was $80 for two pies and 10 wings, no drinks.

After reading the reviews for Anthony's I decided to take my very picky parents there to give it a try. I'm soooooo glad that I did! We ordered two pizzas, we weren't super hungry but I'm vegetarian and so I had to try the eggplant pie, and my parents built their own pie, excited to see items like kalamata olives and fresh mozzarella available on the menu. I asked if they could put fresh mozzarella on the eggplant pizza since I love those two things together on pizza. Since we had mentioned it was out first time there we were happily surprised by the manager bringing over an eggplant appetizer dish. Apparently he wanted us to try the eggplant without mozzarella infringing on the taste. They have a magic way with their eggplant, it is so thin and barely breaded if at all, and just yum. While I still preferred the pizza with the fresh mozzarella added, it was good to know that the eggplant dish was so good without it. My parents loved their pizza and actually said it was one of the best pizzas they have had in years. They were sad to see that Anthony's had not yet expanded to Chicago, since they prefer the thin, coal oven pizza to any deep dish (sacrilege, I know). Anyhow, the service was great, the sangria delicious, and pizza was excellent. I know I will be returning, and as soon as my parents come for another visit they will demand we go to Anthony's.

I'm a picky pizza eater. I was not expecting this. WOW! Hand crushed imported Roma tomatoes.

  • Jason W.

Simple and to the point. The pizza is not bad, but it's certainly not $40 bucks for 2 small pizzas good! For the occasional date night or pizza and beer with a group, Anthony's is actually pretty nice. The location is spot on and offers an alternative to the likes or Bahama breeze and Olive Garden. I just can't get over how expensive the pizza was. Call me cheap if you want, but it's not rocket science. Plus the dough was pre-made and not hand tossed. We ordered a small Bianca and a meatball It was tasty and you could taste the coal fired difference, but it was not different enough to justify the incredibly high mark up. Did I mention it was $40 without beer... Anthony's coal fired pizza is just not for me or my budget.

We enjoyed our first visit to Anthony's on a Sunday for lunch. Xavier made us feel welcome as soon as we got there and Rachel did a phenomenal job waiting on us at the bar. We let her know it was our first visit and she explained the menu to us and since it was our first visit offered a tasting of wings while we waited on our pizza. My boyfriend and I each ordered the lunch size personal pizza which was more than enough and we each ended up taking half home. The pizza was made the way we like it more like a flat bread and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. We look forward to our next visit soon and thank Xavier and Rachel for their hospitality. Great job!

Having eaten at the ACFP in Miami several times, I knew what to expect. The ribs are the absolute best, though pricey. It's not easy to find a place that does vinegar-based BBQ and Anthony's does it well. One glitch was that our dining companions, who had ordered a large serving of wings, bit into two different undercooked pieces, which is a serious culinary NO-NO!!! The pizzas are always good and they have a nice selection of beers. The service was excellent and we, other than the raw chicken, had no complaints. As the signage in that little strip is minuscule, it's easy to miss. It's directly across the street from the mall so, keep your eyes open! Too good to miss.

Super craft beer selection! Wings are pretty good crispy from the coal oven. Really liked the thin and super crispy crust !! One of the better pizza places I've been to. I will definitely be back .

Okay Anthony's, here's the deal...you are still my favorite pizza place, but you are slipping on the "well done" part of pizza. The last few times the top and edges have not had the usual char that we like so much. Even after I asked the server to crisp up the top a little, still a no go.

    (4)
  • Zane Z.

No word smith but here is the deal. I travel every week throughout the country. Caught Anthony's on yelp and decided to give it a try. * Fantastic selection of craft beers * Tuesday is half price on all draft beers!!! Wanted the wings as well as pizza, but as normal dine by myself. Grumbling/contemplating to the great barkeep and she states we have a personal pizza and half wing order (wings are $10-11 for full order) special. It's actually a LUNCH special, but was like phfttt, no big deal. So, for $12 you get about a 10" pizza and 5 wings and the food is GREAT! Charred tasty wings from the coal oven that comes with two delicious pizza slice shape pieces of focaccia and sautéed onions , pizza charred on the edge as it should be, fresh great ingredients. Watched a guy next to me waiting for his wife. Sees her pull up, orders her a beer. She comes in, takes one sip, doesn't like the taste and the barkeep immediately asks what else she would like. Pours her another selection, no questions asked!!! Visit this place - great staff, great food!!

This place is great, they do what they do really well. Not a wet wing fan so I really enjoyed their style of wings...pizza and salad were terrific....place was packed so I think that's a good indication of the consistency and quality of the product.

We had been going to this Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza at least once to twice a month for the past 5-6 months, and on one of our last visits the $19 pizza we ordered had barely any sauce or flavor and was terrible, nothing like the many visits prior. None the less, we decided to go back and eat another $19 pizza with beers and wings, informing the GM of our bad and expensive experience the previous time. Well....all he said was the Anthony's doesn't usually put a lot of sauce on their pizza in the first place and if we want extra sauce we can always order it....thanks a lot! The pizza was better this time around, but our check came and it was a full $38 for everything. Wasn't looking to have to have the whole thing comped, but no consideration whatsoever for loyal costumers spending $40-$50 on PIZZA every time was less than impressive. Buyer beware, if the pizza is not good, then it's your fault.

  • Elaine B.

Addendum to prior review. I have been back twice since last visit. Bartender/waitress Jessica was MUCH nicer this time around. On a disappointing note, the wings were undercooked and we sent them back. The manager was very accommodating, though, and quickly has them redone. Great service and food as usual.

  • Shelby D.

This place was amazing! They did make a few mistakes but they were quickly fixed! We were first timers so they gave us free wing samples that tasted very good. The eggplant pizza was out of this world!! Not like I expected but better. The Philly cheesesteak was also so good(add mushrooms it's better). The sangria was delicious!! The prices are a little high though. If you go during happy hour it's not bad at all but paying almost $20 for a large pizza is a bit. It's not something I would do all the time but when I'm on a pizza craving this is going to be my place!!

  • Joan F.

We have been looking for a place that servers great Neapolitan type pizza. We had heard about this place from a friend so decided to try it. It was definitely not what we were looking for. The pizza was on the dry side and was just okay. Our waitress although quick could not wait to get us out of there. She seemed to rush us through everything and just barely wanted to take our check up to check us out. I would not return here. Not a very good experience and really not what we were looking for. They do tell you that the pizza is well done and it is but it was not what we were looking for.
